Sabor a Cafe presents an intimate night of bolero classics with guitarist Norberto Guerra and vocalist Sylvia Lopez.
Norberto Guerra is a Cuban musician, composer, and producer. He is a multi-instrumentalist primary playing the classical guitar, electric guitar, and the Cuban Trés. His work blends Latin Jazz, flamenco, classical guitar, and Latin pop.
Norberto lives in Chicago and plays regularly with his Afro-Cuban Latin Jazz Band and can also be seen frequently alongside other Latin Jazz bands performing in the city.

Sabor a Café welcomes one of Chicago’s premier singers, composers and bandleaders, José ‘Papo’ Santiago.
Papo Santiago started his musical journey in Ponce, Puerto Rico, the birthplace of some of the most celebrated musicians in Latin music history. Santiago pursued a degree in music at Universidad Interamericana, San German, Puerto Rico.
Before completing his studies, he was recruited to play baritone sax with “La Terrifica” by its bandleader Joe Rodriguez. “La Terrifica” spun off from “La Sonora Poncena” in the early 70’s and paved the way for Santiago’s incursion into the world of salsa. Neusa Sauer is a true legend of Brazilian music. She was born in the sun drenched southern shores of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Graced with an exquisite voice and a natural stage presence, she began singing at age 8 and at age 17 won a coveted prize at the Voz de Ouro.

An established singer, songwriter, accordionist and big band leader, Uribe was born in Bogotá, Colombia and is currently based in New York City. Emerging as a graduate from the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, Uribe has made a name for himself in the Latin music scene of both New York City and Boston. Well known for leading the Gregorio Uribe Big Band, a 16-piece orchestra that blends cumbia and other Colombian rhythms with powerful big band arranging, Uribe released “Cumbia Universal” (Zoho Music) featuring 8-time GRAMMY-winner and Latin music icon Rubén Blades in October 2015.
